I am now a Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)

“Dear Jose,

Congratulations, you have successfully completed the VMCE program for Veeam® Backup & Replication™ v7!”

That’s the confirmation email that I received this morning from Veeam, simply confirming that I have successfully completed and passed the VMCE (Veeam Certified Engineer) certification.

Even though I’ve been working for Veeam since version 3.5/4, and took part in the creation of the Video On-Demand Learning modules (VODL) for VMCE, there was still quite a bit of pressure on me to pass this test. My boss, Scott Lillis and one of the VMCE program developers, Justin Current, were already making plans for me to wear a chicken suit if I had failed the test.  There will be no chicken suit for this guy, not for now at least.

I’ve done over 1,500 web demos for customers and partners while at Veeam, several lunch and learn presentations, and I’ve also co-produced almost 60 Whiteboard Fridays shows in the last 2 years… I thought I knew it all, yet there was still plenty of new content for me to learn from as I went through the VMCE learning experience.

There is certainly something for everyone to learn from in the VMCE program, even if you consider yourself an expert on Veeam products, you will still gain knowledge.

One of the benefits of being a VMCE is the “No queue for you” support number :).   I’m going to use today just for fun ha-ha!

Certification number #0003 – I wanted to be #1 but that Luca guy beat me to it :(.
