Virtualization News for January 2014
On Wednesday, January 22nd, 2014 – VMware announced that they have agreed to purchase AirWatch for $1.54bn. Expanding their current offerings into the management of mobile devices for big companies. It has been a while since all of my feeds on G+, Twitter, RSS, etc. had so many talking about the same big news.
Here is a term you need to know so that you don’t get left behind when your co-workers or friends make a reference to it.
BYOD – Not to be confused with BYOB! This term is short for “Bring your own device” as in your smartphone, tablets or laptops. In today’s world, we want to stay connected 24/7, so we BYOD everywhere we go.
